Description

The 1050 TRIPLE WAVESHAPER is a nonlinear modifier which can transform a sawtooth wave into a sine wave, triangle and trapezoid. This module incorporates three independent cascadeable waveshaper channels for modifying synthesizer waveforms or processing signals from preamplified instruments.

The 1050 isn’t quite the same as most of the multiple diode “wavefolders” which are nice but can be a bit harsh at times, the 1050 is an excellent modifier of electronic and acoustic sounds, and is highly recommended for subtle timbral modifications beyond the range of simple oscillator/filter patches. It can go from subtle warmth and completely bizarre!

Each of the 3 channels support a signal input with an attenuator, and 2 control voltage inputs which are applied to different parts of the circuits – typical of many Serge designs. Be sure to explore the many cross-patching combinations between the channels as well as multiple inputs. Serge would appreciate that you experimented!

Join switches cascade the outputs of channels 1 to 2, and 2 to 3 for some bizarre wave shaping potential. Each individual output is still simultaneously available and manual cross-patching is highly encouraged! For maximum enjoyment, you’ll need to check out (TBD)…

Authorized by the legendary Serge Tcherepnin.
